William Harold “Bud” Shanholtz
William Harold “Bud” Shanholtz, age 82, of Moorefield, WV passed this
life on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in
Petersburg, WV. Born on October 25, 1924 in Moorefield, he was the son
of the late John W. Shanholtz and Agatha Wood Shanholtz.
Mr. Shanholtz was preceded in death by two brothers and one niece.
“Bud” was the last member of his immediate family. He is survived by two
nieces, four nephews, and long time friend, Damie Bierkamp.
Mr. Shanholtz attended Catherman’s Business School in Cumberland,
MD and received a diploma in accounting on March 27, 1962. He retired as
an accountant from Hines and Malcolms. “Bud” was a member of the
Duffey United Methodist Church in Moorefield.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at
the Elmore Funeral Home in Moorefield. A funeral service will be conducted
on Thursday, November 16, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with
Pastor Ted Osgood officiating. Burial will follow at the Olivet Cemetery in
Moorefield.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to
charity of choice.
