William Conway “Bill” Turner      William Conway “Bill” Turner, age 78, of Moorefield, WV passed this life on Saturday, July 23, 2011, at his residence. Born on February 3, 1933 in Moorefield, WV, he is the son of the late Homer Carr Turner and Mary Virginia Cole Turner.              Bill was preceded in death by a daughter, Victoria Turner, a son, Timothy Turner and three sisters, Molly Jones, Louise Method and Geneva Wooden.       He is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Turner Brown of Waynesboro, VA, three sisters, Josephine Harvey of Moorefield, Sara Lee Allen of Cumberland, MD, Emma R. Shelton of Columbus, OH, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.              Bill was retired from the United States Navy and was a member of the Moorefield VFW and American Legion. He was also a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Moorefield.              The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. at the Elmore Funeral Home on Friday, July 29, 2011. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rebecca L. Bennett and Pastor Rebecca S. VanStavern officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Moorefield, WV, where military graveside rites with be accorded by the United States Navy.              Memorials may be made to the Asbury United Methodist Church, c/o Margaret Redman, 127 West Brighton Avenue, Moorefield, WV 26836.        Arrangements are under the direction of the Elmore Funeral Home.
