Vernon C. “Bill” Sites            Vernon C. “Bill” Sites, age 86, of Moorefield, WV, passed this life on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at his residence. Born on May 27, 1925 in Rough Run, WV, he was the son of the late William Garve Sites and Etta Mongold Sites. Bill was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Buck Taylor.          Bill is survived by his wife of 64 years, Helen King Sites of Moorefield, whom he married on September 20, 1947, one daughter, Brenda L. Taylor of Petersburg, WV, one sister, Irene See of Moorefield, two grandchildren, Michael H. Taylor and wife, Dana of Athens, GA, Rodney C. Taylor and wife, Misty, of Petersburg, WV, and two great grandchildren, Brooke Taylor and Kevin H. Taylor Bill was a retired contractor and a member of the Moorefield Church of the Brethren.   The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, September 23, 2011 at the Moorefield Church of the Brethren in Moorefield, WV. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at the Moorefield Church of the Brethren with Pastor Russell and Lucy Webster and Pastor Brad Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Olivet Cemetery in Moorefield, WV.    Memorials may be made to the Moorefield Church of the Brethren or to charity of choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the Elmore Funeral Home.
