Stanley Howard Vetter
  
  Stanley Howard Vetter, age 74, of Moorefield, WV passed this life on Friday, October 10, 2008 at
Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. Born on December 8, 1933 in Hardy County, he was the son
of the late Harry Holt Vetter and Una Clara “Polly” Bowman Vetter.  Mr. Vetter was preceded in death by
three sisters and two brothers.               

 He is survived by his wife, Delores Brooks Vetter of Moorefield, WV. Mr. Vetter is also survived by one
daughter, Gail Pavan of Fisher, WV, three sons, Bradley Vetter and Duane Vetter, both of Moorefield,
Marshall Vetter of Fisher, two sisters, Dorothy Sherman and Virginia Cleaver also of Moorefield, two
brothers, Charles “Dickie” Vetter of Moorefield, Thomas Vetter of Lindside, WV, seven grandchildren, four
great grandchildren, one step grandchild and one step great grandchild.
                                                                                                                                        
   Mr. Vetter served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a retired carpenter and
construction worker; he and his wife owned and operated Sunset Restaurant and Car Wash.                
  
  The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, October 12, 2008 at the Elmore Funeral
Home in Moorefield, WV. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 13, 2008 at
the funeral home with Pastor Tommy George and Reverend Kenneth Phares officiating.  Burial will follow at
the Olivet Cemetery in Moorefield, WV.
