Robert L. “Robbie” Taylor
Robert L. “Robbie” Taylor, age 40, of Fisher, WV passed away Monday, February 23, 2009 at his
home. Robbie was born on February 29, 1968 in Cumberland, MD and is the son of Bob and Mary Lou
Taylor of Fisher, WV.
Robbie was preceded in passing by his grandparents, Welton and Mary Alice Ruckman and Don and
Hilda Taylor.
In addition to his parents, Robbie is survived by his daughter, Michelle and her husband, Randall
Wolfe of Martinsburg, WV, his sister, Barbara “Bobbie” and her husband, Marshall Vetter of Fisher, WV
his special nephews, Josh and Joe Vetter, his fiancée, Gina Artice and her two sons, Tyler and Andrew of
Swanton, MD., and his very loyal tail wagging companions, “Phred “and “Ubu”. Robbie was also anxiously
looking forward to the birth of his first granddaughter, Danica Lynn.
Robbie had worked at American Woodmark and in the family businesses when his health allowed.
Robbie loved motorcycles, helping people and pets, and participating in the South Branch Youth Football
League where he had been a volunteer referee for 20 years. Robbie was a member of the Duffey
Memorial United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at the Elmore Funeral
Home in Moorefield, WV. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 26,
2009 at the funeral home with Reverend Judy Vetter and Pastor Danny Sterns officiating.
Pallbearers will be Josh Vetter, Joe Vetter, Tyler Artice, Ward Malcolm, Charles “Skip” Landes, and Dale
Kuykendall.
The family graciously request that memorials be made to the South Branch Youth Football League c/o
Grant County Parks and Recreation or charity of choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Elmore Funeral Home in Moorefield, WV.
