Reba Jackson
Reba Powers Jackson, age 80, of Moorefield, WV passed this life on Thursday, March
1, 2007 at the Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg, WV. Born on July 1, 1926 in
Jenkins Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Calvin Powers and Malisa Mullins.
Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy W. Collins, Sr. in 1958
and her second husband, Frank E. Jackson on November 3, 1993. She was also
preceded in death by one son, one stepdaughter, two sisters, and two brothers.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by three daughters, Cristine Strouth of Aberdeen, MD,
Susan McMillion of Whitehall, MD, Norma Gibson of Moorefield, WV; three sons,
Eugene Collins of Shrewsbury, PA, Lester Collins of Lahmansville, WV, Roy W. Collins,
Jr. of Manchester, MD, and one stepson, Stanley Jackson of Baltimore, MD. Also
surviving her are three sisters, Clara Thompson of Whitehall, MD, Ruth Sturgill of
Shrewsbury, PA, Irene Thomas of Stewarts Town, PA, 28 grandchildren, 27 great
grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
Reba was a homemaker and a member of the Moorefield Church of God.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 on Friday, March 2, 2007 at the
Elmore Funeral Home in Moorefield, WV. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00
p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at the funeral home with Pastor Joe Dunsmore
officiating. Burial will follow at the Asbury Church Cemetery in Beans Settlement, WV.
Memorial donations may be made to the Moorefield Volunteer Fire Company #46.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Elmore Funeral Home in Moorefield.
Pallbearers are Tony Collins, Roy Collins, Bobby Collins, Ron McMillion, Terry
Porcelli, and Clayton Brent.
