Ralph William Mongold
Ralph William Mongold, age 75, of Moorefield, WV passed this life on Sunday, January 18, 2009 at the
Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. Born on August 15, 1933 in Hardy County, he was the son of
the late William Garve Mongold and Elizabeth Cullers Mongold.
Mr. Mongold is survived by his wife, Ethel Mae Whetzel Mongold of Moorefield, WV, one daughter,
Deborah “Debbie” Kearns and husband, Kevin of Gaithersburg, MD, one sister, Pauline Mongold Hutton of
Harrisonburg, VA, and one grandson, Kyle Kearns.
Mr. Mongold was preceded in death by one sister.
Mr. Mongold worked at Hardy County Farm Services and was retired from American Woodmark. He was a
member of the Mount Carmel Church of the Brethren, and a member of the Hardy County Rod & Gun Club.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at the Elmore Funeral
Home in Moorefield, WV. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at
the funeral home with Pastor Harold Cullers officiating. Burial will follow at the Olivet Cemetery in Moorefield,
WV.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Elmore Funeral Home in Moorefield, WV.
