Nolan Roosevelt Shreve, Sr.
Nolan Roosevelt Shreve, Sr. age 85, of Moorefield, WV passed this life on Friday, July
11, 2008 at the Winchester Medical Center. Born on May 3, 1923 in Pendleton County, he
was the son of the late Harvey Shreve, Sr. and Gettie Kimble Shreve. Mr. Shreve was
preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Della See Shreve of Moorefield, WV. Also surviving him are
two daughters, Iris Shreve of Baltimore, MD., Jennifer Shreve of Moorefield, one son,
Nolan R. Shreve, Jr. and one stepson, Gene See, both of Moorefield, two sisters, Mary
Kimble of Upper Tract, WV, Diana Shrader of Middletown, VA, two brothers Parker Shreve
of Harrisburg, PA, Harvey Shreve, Jr. of Wardensville, WV, one grandson, one great
grandson, five step grandchildren, and four step great grandchildren.
Mr. Shreve was retired from American Woodmark and a member of the Tannery
Chapel Presbyterian Church.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 14, 2008 at the Elmore
Funeral Home in Moorefield, WV. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on
Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at the Moorefield Presbyterian Church with Pastor Katherine
Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at the Olivet Cemetery in Moorefield, WV.
Memorials may be made to the family.
