Mildred Shirley Greathouse
Mildred Shirley Greathouse, age 89, of Winchester, VA passed this life on Tuesday,
November 20, 2007 at the Winchester Medical Center. Born on November 1, 1918 in
Milam, WV, she was the daughter of the late George C. Trumbo, Sr. and Martha Smith
Trumbo.
Ms. Greathouse was the last member of her immediate family and is survived by one
son, Craig W. Greathouse and his wife, Judi of Winchester, VA, three grandchildren,
Brad Greathouse and his wife, Gina of Mason, OH, Anita Bullard of Adamstown, MD,
Monica L. Pittman, and her husband, Calley of Winchester, VA, six great grandchildren,
two nieces, Becky Bates of Vienna, VA and Jo Jordan of Fairfax, VA.
Ms. Greathouse was a member of the Braddock Street Methodist Church in
Winchester, VA and retired owner and operator of the Blue & Gray Beauty Shop in
Winchester.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, November 25, 2007 at the
Jones Funeral Home in Winchester, VA. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00
a.m. on Monday, November 26, 2007 at the Olivet Cemetery in Moorefield, WV. with
Pastor Ed Craft officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Elmore Funeral Home in Moorefield, WV.
