Leicester Brooks Bishop, Jr.
Leicester Brooks Bishop, Jr., age 49, of Fisher, WV passed this life on Saturday,
December 23, 2006 at his residence. Born on May 10, 1957 in Framingham,
Massachusetts, he was son of the late Leicester Brooks Bishop, Sr. and Phyllis J.
Bishop of Hopkinton, Massachusetts.
Mr. Bishop is survived by his wife, Deborah Ours Bishop of Moorefield, WV. Also
surviving him is a daughter, Victoria Brooks Bishop of Moorefield, a sister, Brooks
Bishop Gernerd of Dover, Massachusetts, and a brother, Gordon Bishop of
Holliston, Massachusetts.
Leicester was a member and deacon of the Moorefield Presbyterian Church. He
was a farm manager, served in the U. S. Army, and was a 32 degree Mason with
the Mount Hollis Lodge AF&AM of Holliston, Massachusetts. Mr. Bishop was a board
member of Southern States, West Virginia Poultry Association, West Virginia Farm
Bureau, and West Virginia Cattleman’s Association.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, December 26,
2006 at the Elmore Funeral Home in Moorefield. A funeral service will be conducted
at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at the Moorefield Presbyterian
Church with Pastor Katherine Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at the Olivet
Cemetery in Moorefield.
