Jerry George Washington Beckner
Jerry George Washington Beckner, age 62, of Old Fields, WV passed
this life on Friday, August 31, 2007 at the Sacred Heart Hospital in
Cumberland, MD. Born on August 21, 1945 in Buckhannon, WV, he was
the son of the late Robert James Beckner and Clara Smith Beckner.
Mr. Beckner was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Kahlbaugh Beckner of Old Fields.
Mr. Beckner is also survived by two daughters, Gerry R. Parsons of
Taylorsville, N.C., Jeani G. See of Moorefield, WV, two stepdaughters,
Gretchen Gould of New Creek, WV, Teresa Crislip of Helvetia, WV, one
son, Robert Lee Beckner of Hiddenite, N.C., three stepsons, Michael
Gould of Old Fields, WV, James Kahlbaugh of Charles Town, WV,
Donald Kahlbaugh of Lexington, KY, three sisters, Diane Thompson of
Cleveland, OH, Sylvia Jean Wolford of Buckhannon, WV, Anita Harris of
Kessel Mill, WV, five brothers, Roger Beckner, Barry Beckner, Ronnie
Beckner, Randy Beckner, all of Buckhannon, WV, and Jackie Beckner of
Cleveland, OH. Also surviving him are seven grandchildren, 12 great
grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren.
Mr. Beckner was a member of Living Waters Ministry in Buckhannon,
WV and a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, September
1, 2007 at the Elmore Funeral Home in Moorefield, WV and at the
Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home in Buckhannon, WV from 6-8 p.m. on
Sunday, September 2, 2007. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00
a.m. on Monday, September 3, 2007 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral
Home in Buckhannon with Pastor Roger Beckner officiating. Burial will
follow at the Mount Union Cemetery in Mount Union, WV.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Elmore Funeral Home in
Moorefield, WV.
