Gordon Glenwood Kemp

   Gordon Glenwood Kemp, age 85, of Roanoke, VA, formerly of Moorefield, WV passed
this life on Sunday, November 11, 2007 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA.
Born on November 28, 1921 in Keyser, WV, he was the son of the late William H. Kemp
and Nina Gladys Dugger Kemp.
  
    Mr. Kemp was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Riggleman Kemp in 1996.He was
also preceded in death by one son, William A. Kemp and three brothers, George Kemp,
James Kemp, and Lawrence Kemp
   
   Mr. Kemp is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Lonnie Bryant of
Moneta, VA, three sisters, Wilda Smith and Dorthea Raskin, both of Florida, and Kathleen
Kelch of Indiana, He is also survived by three brothers, Robert Kemp of Petersburg, WV,
Richard Kemp of Georgia, Raymond Kemp of Purgitsville, WV, three grandchildren,
Michael Bryant, Matthew Bryant, Tami Mason and two great grandchildren.
   
   Mr. Kemp was Methodist by faith, a retired insurance salesman, and served in the U.S.
Army Corp in World War II. He was a 32nd degree mason and served as a member of the
Community Lodge #744 AF. & A.M. in Broomall, PA.
   
   The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at the
Elmore Funeral Home in Moorefield, WV. A service will be conducted at the funeral home
on Thursday, November 15, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Richard Longbon
officiating. Burial will follow in the Sites Cemetery at Dorcas, WV.
   
   Memorials donations may be made to the St. Judes Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
   
   Arrangements are under the direction of the Elmore Funeral Home in Moorefield.
