Ethel Wratchford Combs
Ethel Wilda Wratchford Combs, age 78, of Moorefield, WV passed this life on
Friday, February 29, 2008 at her residence. Born on June 12, 1929 in Hardy
County, she was the daughter of the late Barney Wratchford and Anna Lee
Strawderman Wratchford.
Mrs. Combs was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Ernest Combs in
1988. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Wilda Clay and one
brother, Ralph Wratchford.
Ethel is survived by one daughter, Sandra Kay Dalton of Frederick, MD, one son,
Stephen Combs of Chambersburg, PA, one brother, Harold Wratchford of
Moorefield, WV, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one great great
grandchild.
She was a member of the Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren and a greeter at
the Moorefield Wal-Mart.
The family will receive friends from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at the
Elmore Funeral Home in Moorefield, WV. A funeral service will be conducted at
11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 3, 2008 at the Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren
with Pastor Don Knotts officiating. Burial will follow at the Olivet Cemetery in
Moorefield, WV.
