Edgar Wayne Srout
Edgar Wayne Srout, age 82, of Purgitsville, WV passed this life on Sunday, March 23, 2008 at the Heartland
of Keyser Nursing Home. Born on May 8, 1925 in Flats, WV, he was the son of the late Frank Srout and Ida Miller
Srout. Mr. Srout was preceded in death by his wife, Mary High Srout in 1977.
Edgar is survived by one son, Larry Wayne Srout and his wife, Betty of Purgitsville, WV, two grandchildren,
Mary Ellifritz, and Terry Srout, and two great grandchildren, Caleb Ellifritz and Evan Srout. Mr. Srout was a retired
orchard worker.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at the Elmore Funeral Home in
Moorefield, WV. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at the funeral
home with Pastor Allen Murlin officiating. Burial will follow at the Elijah High Cemetery in Purgitsville, WV.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Elmore Funeral Home in Moorefield, WV.
