Dorothy Lea Gregory
   
    Dorothy Lea Gregory, age 70, of Moorefield, WV passed this life suddenly on
Sunday, May 31, 2009 at her residence. Born on December 30, 1938 in Moorefield,
she was the daughter of the late Phillip W. Inskeep and Ruth Mae Ratliff.                    
                                                                                                                                      
      Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack B. Gregory of 49
years, on March 13, 2007.                                                                                        
    
    She is survived by two daughters, Tara L. Haines and husband, Larry of Mantua,
N.J., Tammy L. Hurst and husband, Richard of Paulsboro, N.J., two sisters, Phyliss
Sirk of Old Fields, WV, Linda Shears of Moorefield, one brother, Phillip Inskeep of
Maysville, WV, four grandchildren, Lauren Graner, Erin Haines, Elizabeth and
Richard Hurst and many nieces and nephews of West Virginia.                                    
                                                  
Lea raised her family with Jack in Woodbury and happily retired to Moorefield, WV.
She worked for many years at CJ Sanderson Florist and later drove a school bus for
Gateway. Lea was a member of the Emanuel Episcopal Church of Moorefield and the
CEOS Club of Old Fields. Lea enjoyed painting, gardening, antiquing and cooking
for family and friends. One of her greatest enjoyments was watching her
grandchildren grow. She was always there when anyone needed her and she will be
deeply missed.                                                                

    The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at the
Elmore Funeral Home in Moorefield, WV. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00
p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2009 at the Emanuel Episcopal Church with Reverend
Michael Simon officiating. Burial will follow at the Olivet Cemetery in Moorefield, WV.   
                                                     
    Memorials may be made to the Emanuel Episcopal Church of Moorefield.
