Donald Lee Smith            Donald Lee Smith, age 82, of Moorefield, WV, passed this life on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at his residence. Born on September 5, 1929 in Cumberland, MD, he was the son of the late Willie O. “Bill” Smith and Autumn Lee Sherman Smith.      Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Curry Harman Smith on March 13, 2002, whom he married July 15, 1950. He was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Herman Jim Barr.      Donald is survived by two daughters, Jackie Williams and husband, Robert E. Williams, Jr., Susie Moyers and husband, Larry W. Moyers, all of Moorefield, WV, six grandchildren, Justin, Rachel and Reed Williams and Logan, Lucas and Lauren Moyers. He was also survived by one sister, Carole L. Smith Barr of Moorefield.            Donald was a past elder and deacon of the Moorefield Presbyterian Church, past secretary of the men’s bible class and a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge of Moorefield. He was a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean War, past commander of the John M. Golliday Post 64 American Legion, past deputy director of the West Virginia Department of Veteran Affairs. He set up the Veterans Administration Office located in the Moorefield American Legion. Don retired from the United States Postal Service with 26 years of service.            Along with being a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Don was an outstanding athlete at Moorefield High School in all sports. Upon graduation, he received a football scholarship to Shepherd College. Don, instead, married his high school sweetheart and entered the United States Navy. He was an amateur photographer of sporting events in which his six grandchildren participated. He also photographed many other Moorefield High School Athletes and gave prints to each one. Don was a strong supporter of the Moorefield High School Athletes, the Mountaineers and an all around sports enthusiast.            The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday January 3, 2012 at the Elmore Funeral Home in Moorefield, WV.  A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the Moorefield Presbyterian Church with Reverend Katherine Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Olivet Cemetery in Moorefield, WV.            Memorials may be made to the Moorefield Presbyterian Church, P.O.
