| Damie Rebecca Wratchford Damie Rebecca Wratchford, age 82, of Old Fields, WV passed this life on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. Born in Rig, WV on June 22, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Brown Riggleman and Dale Barr Riggleman. She was also preceded in death by one sister, JoAnn Monett and four brothers, Olin, Loring, Freeman, and Troy Riggleman. Mrs. Wratchford was a homemaker whose favorite hobbies were crocheting and needlepoint. She was a member of the Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren. While living in College Park, MD, Mrs. Wratchford volunteered for over 25 years for the Meals on Wheels program. Mrs. Wratchford is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Carl E. Wratchford Sr. of Old Fields, WV. They were married on April 19, 1947. She is also survived by one daughter, Brenda G. Higgins of College Park, MD, one son, Carl E. Wratchford Jr. of Stephenson, VA, four sisters, Neva Wagner of Petersburg, WV, Verna Conrad of Summersville, WV, Bernice Riggleman of Romney, WV, and Linda Sue Keefer of Green Spring, WV, two brothers, John Riggleman of Ashboro, NC and Tom Riggleman of Berkley Springs, WV, four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Monday, March 1, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Elmore Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at the Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Don Knotts officiating. Burial will follow at the Newhouse Cemetery in Rig, WV. Memorial donations may be made to the Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren PO Box 733 Moorefield, WV 26836.
