Cline Arnold “AJ” Ludwick, Jr.
Cline Arnold “AJ” Ludwick, Jr., age 83, of Moorefield, WV passed this life on
Sunday, February 24, 2008 at his residence. Born on March 22, 1924 in Keyser,
WV, he was the son of the late Cline A. Ludwick, Sr. and Georgia Southern Ludwick.
“AJ” was preceded in death by one son, one grandchild, and one great
grandchild.
He is survived by his wife, Ella Fern Funkhouser Ludwick of Moorefield, two
daughters, Scelene Hartman of Columbia, S.C., Jill Young of Hickory, N.C., two
stepsons, Chad Gilhuys and Shawn Gilhuys, both of Moorefield, one sister, Anna
Taylor of Myrtle Beach, S.C., seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
“AJ” was a graduate of Potomac State College, a retired auto dealer, a member
of the Duffey United Methodist Church, and served in the U.S. Navy duringWorld
War II. He was member of the Moorefield American Legion and VFW and a member
of the Moorefield Lions Club. “AJ” was a 32° Mason and member of the Moorefield
Masonic Lodge #29, the Osiris Shriners Temple in Wheeling, WV, and Knights of
Templer in Keyser, WV.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26,
2008 at the Elmore Funeral Home in Moorefield, WV. A funeral service will be
conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at the funeral home
with Pastor Harold Garber officiating. Burial will follow at Potomac Memorial Gardens
in Keyser, WV.
Memorial donations may be made to the Grant Memorial Hospice or charity of
choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Elmore Funeral Home in Moorefield,
WV.
