Brian Keith Fitzwater, age 36, of Lumberport, WV, formerly of Moorefield, WV, passed this life
on Monday, May 4, 2009 at his residence. Born on December 12, 1972 in Cumberland, MD,
Brian is the son of Sylvia P. Crites and stepson of Don Crites, both of Moorefield, WV. He is also
the stepson of Ginny Fitzwater of Charleston, WV.
Brian was preceded in death by his father, Marlin “Jake” Fitzwater and one brother.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Head Fitzwater, a son, Brian Keith Fitzwater Jr., both of
Lumberport, WV, a sister, Stacy Marion of Moorefield, a stepson, Dominick T. Cunningham, of
Lumberport, WV, a stepdaughter, Tiffany Lamm of Clarksburg, WV, a half sister, Valerie
Fitzwater of Charleston, WV, three stepsisters, Mary Lee White of Moorefield, Tina Louise
Thompson of Aberdine, MD, Paula Crites of Manassas, VA, and a stepbrother, Don E. Crites, Jr.
of Churchville, MD. Brian is also survived by his grandparents, Alston and Geneva Helmick of
Moorefield, one niece and one nephew.
Brian was employed by Ten Mile Coal Company.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at the
Elmore Funeral Home in Moorefield, WV. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on
Friday, May 8, 2009 at the funeral home with Pastor Harold Garber officiating. Burial will follow at
the Olivet Cemetery in Moorefield, WV.
Memorials may be made to charity of choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Elmore Funeral Home in Moorefield,
WV.
