Betty Virginia Harper                Betty Virginia Harper, age 79, of 38 Durgon Road Moorefield, WV, passed this life on Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at her residence. Born on November 2, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Dice P. Harper and Renick Bell Harper.                She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. She is survived by three sisters, Ann Calhoun of Moorefield, WV, Ellen Golliday of Cumberland, MD, and Dorothy Smith of Fairfax, VA, and several nieces and nephews.        She was a member of Baker’s Chapel Methodist Church at Durgon, and also a member of OES of Petersburg #146 and Durgon CEOS Club. She was a retired X-Ray Technician having worked at George Washington University Hospital, Walter Reed, and Grant Memorial Hospital.                Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, December 11, 2009 at the Elmore Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Judy Vetter officiating. Burial will follow at the Olivet Cemetery in Moorefield, WV.
