Bernice Elizabeth Shobe
Miss Bernice Elizabeth Shobe, age 80, of Moorefield, WV passed this life on Thursday,
July 3, 2008 at her residence. Born on April 4, 1928 in Hardy County, she was the daughter
of the late Benjamin “BC” Shobe and Vern O. Hose Shobe. She was also preceded in death
by one brother, Fred OmarPratt
Miss Shobe is survived by two daughters, Joye L. Brinson, wife of Robert Brinson, of
Nokesville, VA, Carla K. Musselman, wife of Allen Musselman, of Forest Hill, MD, two sisters,
Lena M. Coby, Janet Pratt Bosley, six brothers, Angus Landon Shobe, Edwin Pratt, Jr.,
Murphy Pratt, Sr., Chester Pratt, Jerald Pratt, and Raymond Pratt, all of Moorefield, WV.
She is also survived by five grandchildren- Jamie Helmick and Amie Helmick of Sterling, VA,
Eddie Scholl, III of Nokesville, VA, Lisa LonChiadis and Lindsey Musselman of Forest Hill,
MD.
Miss Shobe was a homemaker and a member of the Moorefield Church of the
Brethren.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at the
Elmore Funeral Home in Moorefield, WV. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on
Sunday, July 6, 2008 at the funeral home with Pastor Harold Garber and Pastor Russell
Webster officiating. Burial will follow at the Olivet Cemetery in Moorefield,
WV
Memorials may be made to the Moorefield Church of the Brethren or Grant Memorial
Hospice.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Elmore Funeral Home in Moorefield, WV
